11th Hour Recovery's management team implemented an app that relays run lists and coverage information to our agents. These are viewed on password protected tablets, in each of our tow trucks and spotting cars. Long gone are the days of a recovery agent driving around with a folder full of repossession orders. At the touch of a screen our agents are viewing a map with pins showing the exact address of each of their assignments. New and updated addresses are no longer bypassed unintentionally. To assure accurate information gathering, notes can only be added to a file while the agent is within a very short distance of the address being run.
Also we have a fleet of cars outfitted with LPR (License Plate Recognition) Cameras. These infrared cameras have the ability to read license plates and turn them to text. There are two major benefits of this system. The first being, if one of our drivers pass by a vehicle which we have active repossession order for in our system - it immediately notifies the driver. This is extremely useful when vehicles are not where they are expected to be. (a shopping mall, a sporting event, visiting friends, a restaurant, a bar, a motel, the list goes on) Secondly, our database retains some of this information for a short period of time. 40% of assignments received within a metro area, which we cover, have historical address information from our database. As we see often, when customers have moved with no paper trail, or worse yet, purchased the vehicle for a 3rd party to drive - we know upon placement where to find your asset.
Best of all, these three systems are all integrated and talk to one another. If you mark an assignment as closed or on hold because your customer made a payment, company-wide instant updates take place. If you send us a new assignment it appears immediately on the map in each of our vehicles. It is also live in our camera system to notify us of your assets location.
